On Reality, Facts, and a Dubious Legal Strategy
Dear Mr. Vice President,
It is with deep disappointment that we observe the direction Vacasa has chosen to take in our business dispute. Frankly, we admire your ability to manage the processes within a company that appears to be winding down its operations in Newport Beach and transitioning structures to Casago. However, we are all the more astonished that you are resorting to such a pathetic legal strategy aimed at challenging our long-standing and demonstrable partnership. We find it unfortunate that you have allowed your judgment to be influenced by a legal opinion that is in such stark contradiction to the reality proven by hundreds of documents.
We perceive your recent decision to completely delete our account on the Coupa portal as a desperate attempt to rewrite history and destroy evidence of our extensive collaboration. However, you seem to be unaware of one crucial fact: as of January 2025, we have a complete backup of all data that was ever published on that work portal. Every purchase order, every invoice, every confirmation, and every tracker that has ever passed through your system has been securely archived. Your attempt to erase the digital footprint of our partnership came far too late.
It is baffling that a company of your stature would risk its reputation on a strategy that is bound to collapse under the weight of evidence. We are talking about a comprehensive history of our collaboration, the very foundation of which was laid by the legally binding contract we signed with Vacasa LLC. Your current position is therefore a denial of this key document and the continuous stream of other operational records that your own systems have generated for years. We had hoped for a professional and honorable resolution to this dispute, but instead, we are faced with a manipulation tactic that is doomed to fail.

Is Vacasa in Newport really closing?
